Layer 1's shader environment is in. fBm noise, two warps deep, breathing pulse on a slow LFO. The character is one black silhouette with two glowing eyes and it already feels like a game.
Foundation week. Engine: Godot 4. Backgrounds are a single ShaderMaterial on a fullscreen quad — near-zero GPU cost on the laptop we tested with. Film grain applied globally as the last pass.
Movement uses a simple top-down controller with a dash that grants 14 iFrames. No animation polish yet. The placeholder silhouette is a flat black PNG and honestly we may not replace it for a while.
